Job Summary: Reporting to the Vice President, the Controller will oversee the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, establish internal controls, manage financial reporting processes, and serve as a key liaison with our third-party CPA firm. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely financial data, while enforcing invoice and billing controls across all departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in multi-entity businesses, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

What You’ll Do:
Accounting & Finance Operations
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare, post, and review journal entries
- Maintain the chart of accounts across multiple business entities
- Oversee timely month-end and year-end close processes with third-party accountants
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of Daily Revenue Reports from each FEC location
- Monitor cash flow across all entities and provide weekly updates to leadership
- Manage credit card reconciliations and petty cash policies across locations
- Manage wire transfer requests and vendor payments in collaboration with Elev8 Treasurer
Controls & Compliance
- Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, and bank reconciliations
- Maintain internal controls and documentation in line with industry best practices
- Approve vendor setups and ensure compliance with procurement procedures
- Oversee sales tax compliance and coordinate with third-party firm for timely filing
Reporting & Analysis
- Support third-party CPA firm in producing monthly and annual financial statements
- Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and support leadership decision-making
Accounting & Finance Operations
- Liaise with external CPA firm for reconciliations, tax filings, and financial reviews
- Communicate with General Managers and Department Heads to ensure proper financial documentation and coding
- Support onboarding of new FEC locations and integrate financial systems and controls
- Assisting location operations management teams with understanding and responding to
financial information
- Ensuring appropriate retention and management of all documentation
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, accordingly
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting or financial analysis experience ideally in multi-unit businesses, Hospitality, F&B, Amusements, or the entertainment sector
- High level of computer literacy, including proficiencies in Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting/bookkeeping software
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Operational experience in food and beverage, hotel, theme park, and or family entertainment is preferred
- Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
- Construction Accounting experience is a bonus
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Able to travel as needed.
